From this large work Fine extracted the Sinfonia and the Fugato, which she made into a new composition, Sinfonia and Fugato, to be included in New Music for the Piano, a Lawson-Gould publication honoring Abby Whiteside, Fine’s piano teacher, which Robert Helps recorded for RCA Victor and which was later reissued by Composers Recordings Inc.
